A wonderful visit

Our daughter Kara and  her 2 year old son Ivan came for a visit in March. It was about two weeks after our trip to the Philippines. We were so excited to see them both!  This is the third year they have visited us in March.

We could hardly wait to see Ivan again and to hug our daughter as well. It was fun watching Ivan and seeing how much he has grown since we saw him.  What a great time we had!

Kara had been to the Philippines while in college and so we had fun talking about all we each saw when there as well.  But the most fun was just being with this fun little boy. Yes, at the end of each day were we all tired, but next morning when he came down our steps saying “Grandpa, Get up,” who wouldn’t be glad that we could get up and have fun with him! And Kara too of course!

We went to the railroad park that had a small train and carousel to ride as well as a miniature train museum. We also went to the library for story time and books to read, a children’s heart museum, and our church to meet some of our dear friends.

We went to our pool daily where Ivan had a blast splashing grandpa while others were enchanted by him too! Also we got to do mini golf at our park and just walk around. Everywhere we went with Ivan he was so friendly that people would stop and talk with him, give him rides on their golf carts and even let him pick grapefruit from their trees. He loved it! He is such a friendly little boy and always looking to talk to someone.

Ivan also really enjoyed getting to sit in grandpa’s big fast truck and grandpa enjoyed showing it to him!

Here is a video showing some of the fun!:https://vimeo.com/211132399

Enjoy,
