Visiting good friends!

In November we drove to San Marcos, California to visit some dear friends. We have known Ross and Denise since a few weeks after we both got married. We both married a week apart and then met at a church in NJ where we all were new to the church. Ross was in the armed forces and they were without a place to live for several months, because they waiting for base housing. We had been living in a parsonage and had a huge family room and half bath we were not even using, so after getting the church’s permission we invited Ross and Denise to move in with us. We all shared the kitchen, and full bath but with all of our working schedules we didn’t have any problems. It is funny now that none of us can remember any problems nor how long it actually was. But one thing is certain we made life time friends.

They started supporting us personally after we joined our mission and then a few years later increased that but told us the increase was to go for our retirement. We have always been so grateful for their generosity and kindness in getting us to start thinking about retirement. It is now even more appreciated!

So we got to go and see these dear friends! We have visited many times over these more than 40 years of knowing each other. They have moved a lot in the early years too. We are so grateful for friends and for their kindness to us!

We also got to see the Pacific Ocean when with them too. Fun!

Thanks Ross and Denise!

Love,

jan for the Roaming Reimers
